My name is Jackie Alvarez and I am from Miami, Florida. I have a Bachelors in Science in Biology with a 2nd major in Natural and Applied Sciences and I also have a second degree, a Bachelors of Arts in Chemistry from Florida International University. I have pursued these degrees in the hope of soon going to medical school and training to become a physician.

 

As a student at FIU, I have had many experiences that have had a lasting impact on me as an individual.  I am a member of the FIU honors college, where I had the opportunity to complete a program abroad in the United Kingdom, and I am also a Global Learning student which has helped me become a more well rounded and globally aware individual.

In my time as an undergraduate student, I have had the privilege to hold many different roles and learn many things, not only scientifically related, but about myself as a person. This website will give you an insight to my life and the things I have done during my undergraduate career at FIU.
